OpenMarkdown
A local-first Markdown editor built for you and your agent
OpenMarkdown is a desktop Markdown editor with a Rust core that opens plain .md files off local disk with a sub-second cold start. It exposes the same files to coding agents through an openmd CLI and MCP, so an agent can read, write and co-edit a note while you have it open. It offers three modes (live preview, source, reading), a cmd+P command palette, autosave, crash recovery and system Trash deletes. There is no account, no cloud sync and no telemetry, and the UI ships in English, Chinese and Japanese.
