Pocket Screen is a macOS menu bar utility that turns the frontmost window into a compact, always-on-top picture-in-picture view, with up to two views at once. A global shortcut (Option-Command-P by default) creates the first view and then retargets the selected view to whatever window is in front. Each view has its own opacity, update quality (10, 20, or 30 fps), freeze, click-through, and Focus View region zoom, and it remembers its own position across Spaces and displays. Capture runs through macOS ScreenCaptureKit and the pixels stay on the Mac.
